Best Circus Of 2016!

On our recent family trip to Great Yarmouth and the Suffolk Coast, in typical UK holiday style, the weather forecast was rain!

We booked into the Hippodrome Circus. We did this online using the discount FAMILYTICKET for all four of us. Having been to numerous cirucs performances as a child, I was expecting a very tounge in cheek modern day animal free affair.

We got ringside seats. The venue is set up in such a way that all seats offer a fantastic view. We were set up with drinks in hand, food at the ready and I awaited the roll out of the clowns!!

Once the show started I realised that my preconceptions of what I assumed this show was couldnt be further from the truth. This was an exceptionally slick production. The lighting was perfect for me as low light professional portrait photographer. Most cameras and photographers would crumble at the light set up but I thrive in anything that oozes drama and this was pouring with it!

Each act was simply stunning. The script was brilliant and the soundtrack was exceptionally fitting.

Hands down, this is one of the best shows I have been to. I would genuinly travel to watch this show. They run seasonal performances throughout the year. I met Peter Jay after the show. Peter is the Artistic Curator of the show. He shared the shows history and inspiration behind the acts. The family story made me love this circus even more.
